Another notable study conducted by Mechoulam was done on mice bred to have a version of type-1 diabetes. The diabetes was designed to manifest right around 14 weeks, so the mice were treated with CBD for the first 7 weeks of their life and then again in another 7 weeks. He concluded that only 30% had developed diabetes compared to the 90-100% given the placebo.
THC oil is created by extracting the THC compound from marijuana. THC is the compound responsible for producing a “high” feeling in its users, as well as other medicinal effects. This oil is highly regulated in the US and across the world. THC oil is not legal by federal law, but it is legal in states that allow for recreational or medicinal use of cannabis with a doctor’s prescription.
Hash oils seized in the 1970s had a THC contents ranging from 10 to 30%. The oil available on the U.S. West Coast in 1974 averaged about 15% THC. Samples seized across the United States by the Drug Enforcement Administration over an 18-year period (1980–1997) showed that THC content in hashish and hashish oil averaging 12.9% and 17.4%, respectively, did not show an increase over time. The highest THC concentrations measured were 52.9% in hashish and 47.0% in hash oil. Hash oils in use in the 2010s had THC concentrations as high as 90% and other products achieving higher concentrations 
Synthetic cannabinoids also pose a significant risk to users because the effects can be much more severe than those produced by marijuana. Some of the compounds in synthetic cannabinoids bind more strongly to brain receptors, which is why the effects could be more powerful and unpredictable. Moreover, synthetic cannabinoid products don’t always list every ingredient on the packaging label, so the effects of the product could be greater or different than expected.
For example, 1 mL of our Canna Oil 20|0 contains 20 mg of THC. The State of Colorado now limits the amount of THC in edibles to 10 mg per piece, so 1 mL of this oil would be equivalent to two (2) edibles. Similarly, a 0.5 gram "joint" of 10% THC contains 50 mg of THC, but more than half of this THC is lost during the combustion process, resulting in a dose of 20-25 mg THC.

CBD's exact place within medical practice is still currently hotly debated, however as the body of evidence grows and legislation changes to reflect its wide-spread use, public and medical opinion have changed significantly with regards to its usefulness in a number of medical conditions ranging from anxiety to epilepsy.

The extract known as CBD oil sold in the U.S. falls into one of two categories. Crystalline isolate exclusively contains CBD, as other cannabinoids have been removed; full spectrum oil, on the other hand, retains THC and other cannabinoids, and is only sold in states where marijuana use has been legalized. CBD oil can be consumed several different ways, including ingested capsules and food products, vaporizing, tinctures, and topical creams. The soporific effects of CBD oil are linked to its concentration; low-concentration oils will produce minimal effects, while high-concentration oils will produce strong effects.

Although much less well-known than the cardiovascular, reproductive, and respiratory systems, the ECS is critical. “The ECS helps us eat, sleep, relax, forget what we don’t need to remember, and protect our bodies from harm,” Marcu says. There are more ECS receptors in the brain than there are for opioids or serotonin, plus others in the intestines, liver, pancreas, ovaries, bone cells, and elsewhere.
